I was born and raised in Charleston, SC among three brothers and three sisters, where lessons of shared sacrifice and adherence to values were instilled by my father. Those family values remain the cornerstone of my life.
My educational journey began at Burke High School in Charleston, leading me to pursue a BA in History and Government at St. Augustine's University in Raleigh, NC. Seeking to deepen my understanding, I earned a Master of Arts in Teaching, specializing in Learning Disabilities, from The Citadel in Charleston, and furthered my studies in Addictions Counseling at Furman University.
For more than two decades, I dedicated myself to education, teaching Language Arts and Special Education, before transitioning to coordinating programs at Killingsworth Home for Women for 22 years. I am also a licensed foster parent, a South Carolina Notary, Eucharistic Minister, Worthy Matron of OES, and dedicated supporter of St. Martin de Porres Catholic School.
Three years ago, I came to work at the Law Offices of Kenneth Berger at the request of my dear friend, Kenny Berger. Retirement took a backseat as I happily found a renewed sense of purpose in aiding others through the legal realm.
I have joined a wonderful group of like minded people who strive to fulfill one single purpose: to be of service to the community through helping others. I feel so blessed to serve beside them to enhance the quality of life for each of our clients.
In my free time, I enjoy sports, especially Clemson and Cincinnati football as well as University of South Carolina’s women’s basketball and bowling. I am also an avid reader and poetry writer.
